One of the UK's premier Cane Corso breeders; founder of the Friends of Cane Corso and President of the British Cane Corso Society with over 7 years experience in the breed, 5 of those within the Boleyn Breeding program.
Our goal is to produce solid, sound and healthy Cane Corso that follow FCI Standard #343, the Cane Corso Italiano that are true to type with the core stability that only a established breeding program can bring to the table.
Our priorities in each breeding are of course health, temperament and type, but also more - to produce outstanding pets that are guardians of their families yet also a integral part of everyday life. The Boleyn family is a large family, something I can only be so proud to be part of, spanning from Scotland to Cornwall, Dubai to Alaska, France to Mexico every single dog produced I am part of, I am there and I would not have it any other way!
Recently, I have been hearing a lot of buzz about show v working lines. The TRUTH; a well bred balanced Cane Corso is more than capable of such 'work', but what does this mean for owners of such dogs? In my opinion, all my dogs are more than capable of protecting me, doing man work and guarding our property. After all, isn't this the very essence of what this breed actually is!!!! People that differentiate between the two (show v work) do not KNOW the breed. Yes, there are some lines more capable of work, but if the dog is balanced and stable they can all perform this function very well. The key is breeding a dog that has these 'working' abilities but then also be sound family pets. They can be taken to the pub, on days out and to the park with no worry at all. Stability; this is the key to this breed and looking at the amount of dogs in the UK rescue system, clearly a lot of UK breeders are currently missing this mark.
