Discover the Corso at Boleyn Cane Corso...
New Year new start!!!! Last year I can safely say was the worse year in my time as a Cane Corso breeder, but as the world and his or her aunt can read this page, I will just say I hope that 2011 brings me and my family some happier times. And I wish you all a very happy new year and want to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful owners for their love and support through 2010.
This update will be brief as it will be outlining the forthcoming Boleyn open days I will be having throughout 2011. There will be only 4 opportunities to come and visit Boleyn Cane Corso this year, March, June, August and October, with the British Cane Corso Society funday being held in May this year, so there is always a great chance to learn about the Corso before rushing into your decision or purchase. I have decided to do this for two reasons really to obtain a better work/life balance and also to be able to make these days much more rewarding for those people attending.
The open day will consist in talking about the breed, meeting old Boleyn owners and their dogs. Also, we will be training with the Boleyn dogs, walking the Boleyn dogs and learning the both the harsh realities and the joys of owning such a dog. I will also go through all the health implications with this breed and the temperament issues my owners have faced throughout the years, something that is now at the forefront of the Boleyn owner education program. It has become apparent more so than ever that this is a breed that needs understanding before breeding, and deep commitment whilst rearing to achieve a stable, all-round dog. It will be a social event, with lunch provided and I hope you will walk away with a very deep understanding of the breed and its current situation in the UK. These days are mainly to educate people on who Boleyn is and also what to expect when owning a Corso. Some people in attendance may not be prospective Boleyn owners as they may not meet my new owner requirements, but those people are still more than welcome to come and learn more about the breed.
If your interested in attending one of these Cane Corso educational days at Boleyn, please send me a detailed email, putting in as much information as yourself as possible, I will then reply we can have a few chats on the phone and I will let you know the date of the next Boleyn Open day.
I will cap attendees at 10 families for each day otherwise you will not get as much out of the day as I need you to.
I look forward to meeting you all this year and spreading the Corso lurve far and wide.
