Xueno Xueno Xueno!!!! Mr Handsome as he is affectionately known, you broke my heart but nevertheless I still love you.

I fell so hard for this dog when he came into the world. I saw such promise in him; promise that, if I look back in pictures, he did not really have. But for once, I was right. Xueno is perhaps the best dog I have had the joy to breed. But Mr Handsome came with a catch, I loved him so much that I babied him. He was coddled, and because Viggo is our protector he kinda just melted into the background and did not stand on his own feet. He did not come into his own and when tested at Carting Day did not muster the mustard. I knew that to be able to guage his temperament fully he needed to be placed in a pet home, only then would I see what he was really made of, away from his overbearing mother (me) and out of the shadow of Viggo.

But who? Who would I trust with a dog so wonderful, so breathtaking? Really, there was only ever one person for him, my darling Nicola Emmanuel. When I called her and asked her I think she jumped in her Disco thing at once and drove the 7 or so hours up to Essex to collect Xueno, brother to her already settled Boleyn's Koo. Under the loving watch of Nicola and Nick Xueno has become the dog I knew he would: a fierce family protector. It was one of he hardest things I have had to do, I miss him every day, but I know he is being looked after as if he were the most precious star in the sky.

Nicola and Nick thank you x
